Finding Comedy Clubs In Your Area
Laughter really is the best medicine. The laughter of you and your friends or family together at a comedy club is even better. Check out your local comedy clubs by looking in the phone book, or listen for announcements on the radio or TV for special shows that might be appearing near you.
Comedy clubs are everywhere, and some of the most famous comedians today started in a little laugh spot just like the one near you.
Comedians like Eddie Murphy and Jerry Seinfeld. Or going back even further, Jack Benny, Bob Hope and George Burns. They all started in a small venue with crowds who occasionally booed or even threw things at them when they were not funny.
Going to your local comedy club can make for a night of great entertainment. You may see a future star perform for the first time. The variety of stand up comedians is endless. From ventriloquists to those who work basically with props, to raw stand up that will make you roar with laughter.
Robin Williams is touring again, and he is one of the funniest there is. Jeff Dunham’s ventriloquism is hard to beat. Larry the Cable Guy, known by many as “Mater” in “Cars” has the “Good ol boy” humor that many can’t get enough of. His famous line “Git ‘R Done” has become quite famous.
Don’t forget the women comedians. Ellen DeGeneres, also the voice of “Dory” in “Finding Nemo” is one of the funniest women out there. She mostly just works on her daytime talk show these days, but occasionally makes appearances. Kathy Griffin and Sarah Silverman are two of the top contenders for female laughs today.
